PlateO terms of use
These are the terms for using the PlateO app. They are short and in plain English. By using PlateO you agree to them. PlateO is made by Lee Praoline, an individual in the UK ("we", "us").
Using PlateO
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PlateO on iPhones you own or control, for your own training. Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies; where the two differ, Apple's terms apply for anything they cover.
- You must be 13 or older. PlateO asks for your year of birth for this reason.
- Don't copy, sell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or our service, and don't try to access anyone else's data.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
This is a beta
PlateO is in a closed beta. It will change, may contain mistakes, and may stop working or be withdrawn at any time. We will try to give notice if we withdraw it. Keep your own copy of anything you care about: you can export your data from inside the app.
Not medical advice
PlateO is a training log. Its recovery estimates and suggestions are general information, not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. Exercise carries risk. Talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before you start a programme or if you have an injury or health condition, and stop if something hurts. You train at your own risk.
Your data
Your training belongs to you. How we handle it is explained in the privacy policy. You can delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time (You, then Account, then Delete my account).
Our responsibility
PlateO is provided "as is" during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage that arises from using, or not being able to use, PlateO. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud) or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending your use
You can stop using PlateO and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if we withdraw the beta.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above will change, and if the change matters we will tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you can use your local courts.
